Helpful Sites For Fighterz

When it comes to dealing with a chronic illness, and this is just my personal feeling, we need all the help that we can get. And nowadays, there are so many websites out there to help us keep track of our health, that I think, why not take advantage of them? I’ve been compiling a list for a few months now, of websites that I think would be beneficial to not only Fibro Fighterz, but many other fighterz as well!

Better Doctor

I’m sure that most of us, if not all of us have had experiences with “bad doctors” in the past. You know, those doctors that tell you your condition isn’t real, or it’s “all in your head.” Wished it was easier to find a better doctor? It is now! With Better Doctor, you can search for your new doctor in 3 quick steps! Select the specialty of the doctor that you wish to see, select your health insurance that you currently have, and from there, you can book an appointment! It is that easy! The doctors featured on Better Doctor aren’t your typical “run of the mill” type, either. These are all highly rated by consumers – people just like you, they all have active medical licenses, have passed the malpractice screening, have clean discipline records and their experience and education are all validated. So if you’re looking for a new doctor, keep in mind Better Doctor!

Calm.com

It has long been said that meditation is good for the body and the soul. But not all of us have time for full meditation sessions. Calm.com solves that problem for us! On their website, you can enjoy a quick 2, 10, 0r 20 minute guided relaxation session, complete with relaxing sounds and beautiful visualizations. So, if you are feelings a bit stressed, or just need a small breather, try Calm.com!

HealthTap

Has something small ever cropped up, and you don’t want to run to your doctor? This happens to me rather often. I’ve recently discovered HealthTap, an online community made up of members and U.S. Licensed doctors. The way it works is that you ask a question, and soon after you will begin receiving answers from top U.S. Licensed physicians. Once you sign up as a member, you’ll also have access to your own personal health feed, made up of all the questions that you ask. You even get access to finding the best local doctors in your area! Asking questions is totally free, but if you would like to have a private conversation with a doctor, it’s only for a small fee, but the money made from that is donated to one of the many charities that HealthTap supports!

Simplee

If there is one thing that is rather confusing, it is the medical bills that we often incur when we have a chronic illness. They can be one of the hardest things to decipher. Simplee is dedicated to “transforming out-of-pocket payments into a clear, convenient, and trusted experience.” Simplee makes paying your medical bills truly a one-stop experience. According to their website, “Patients receive a delightfully clear bill they can understand and trust.” I mean, who doesn’t want that?

SimpleBot

Waking up is probably one of the hardest things we have to do, and we have to do it each and every day! Sure, we have our regular ‘ol alarm clocks, but why not have a super simple and beautiful alarm clock at hand? SimpleBot is an alarm clock, and just that. No other bells and whistles, nothing else. Simplicity is beautiful, isn’t it?

FitBrains

FibroFighterz know about brain fog, and how frustrating it can be. FitBrains is an online training program that will keep your memory and brain sharp. You can play games to train your brain and use the tools to track your progress! A fun activity if you’re bored and looking for something to do.

  1. This is great! Thanks 🙂 I especially dig the guided meditation one. It’s so hard to get the motivation to actually sit down and meditate, because I love the guided meditations… but they’re often so long, and I can’t sit still that long. I can’t wait to try it!

  2. I know this if off topic but I’m looking into starting my own weblog and was curious what all is needed to get setup? I’m assuming
having a blog like yours would cost a pretty penny?
I’m not very web savvy so I’m not 100% certain.
Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

    1. Hi there!
Everything you see here on our blog is 100% free, provided by WordPress! You can also use blogger, where they give you more freedom to put things on your blog. Both WordPress and Blogger are free, though! 🙂
