Don’t give up on your dreams because you are sick!
Dreams are very important. Fantasy is fun. It is worthwhile to set aside time each week to daydream about “what if” – what if you won lotto, what would you do? What if you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go? If you could do anything and had the resources to do anything in your life, what would you choose to do? What if you had one minute on international news in every country in every medium, what message would you wish to get out to the world? These are your desires, your dreams, write them down. They are very important to you. But you have shelved them once you started to be made aware of the practicalities of everyday life – when you became a responsible adult. If you can write down your deepest desires, without being impeded and limited by resources, you have the blue print for the rest of your life…what you WANT to be doing, not what you think you SHOULD be doing.
Once you are decided on what you would really like your life to be like, you then ask yourself what would I have to change in my life to make these things happen? Yes, sure, these are massive undertakings, but if you were to take one small step per day, you could inch your way towards your goal. You have the rest of your life to achieve it! And I’m sure, that no matter how far away you are from your goal, just the knowledge that you have a path and you have started on it will make you much more comfortable in your own skin. Call it what you like – Destiny, Your Calling, Purpose…this is the only way to be happy and DEFY ILLNESS. 🙂
